what to expect...

Starcatcher Productions is a non-profit, community theatre company at heart, filled with members from various backgrounds and experience levels. We operate in the communities of Kahnawá:ke and Chateauguay. All of our rehearsals, fundraiser events, and performances take place within these areas. Priority for cast and production team members should be given to individuals from these communities.

All of our positions within our productions are non-union and volunteered. Therefore, the director is a non-union and unpaid position.

This application will require you to pitch up to 3 different musical productions that you are interested in directing. These proposals will be reviewed as a part of the hiring process by the Board of Directors and later discussed with the hired director to eventually confirm a show to move forward with.

All applicants will be contacted. Chosen applicants will be scheduled for an online interview with members from the Board of Directors.

The following is a rough timeline of how our production schedule operates:

  • February: Director recruitment and pre-production work begins
